The WWE Draft takes place tomorrow night on a special 3-hour edition of WWE RAW. WWE has promised to shake things up - here's the latest Draft news. Keep in mind that NONE of this stuff is confirmed:

-- Former World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio is backstage in San Antonio, Texas, the site of tonight's WWE RAW. Mysterio has been out of action for several months and tonight looks to be his on-camera return.

-- As you would imagine, WWE was really upset over the recent DUI arrest of Mike Mondo of the Spirit Squad, which soon led to his release from the company.

-- WWE has signed Maryland Championship Wrestling wrestler Patrick Brink, 27, to a developmental contract. He announced the signing at this past Friday's Eastern Wrestling Alliance show in Parkville, MD. He will be reporting to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa soon.

Ring of Honor has been pretty quiet regarding Bryan Danielson working the WWE Monday Night Raw taping on June 9 in Oakland, CA. The only thing ROH confirmed was that they gave him permission to work the taping and that was it.

-- SLAM! Wrestling has a really good article on Batista. He notes that he doesn't want to change brands during the WWE Draft. "Personally, I would love to stay on Smackdown," Batista said. "I feel like I've worked really hard with other guys to really build Smackdown.

-- Aside from the very top talent if they're moving, nobody is being told about WWE's plans for the draft. At last year's show, the wrestlers were told literally seconds before the picks announced on television. This year, things have been even quieter.

-- While it seemed to play right into the storyline regarding the announcers switch, Melina suffered a legitimate ankle injury tonight on Raw during the Divas tag match. On the Raw homepage they wrote: "On Raw, Melina severely injured her ankle during a tag encounter with her fellow Divas."

In the midst of the build-up to Night of Champions, there’s one thing on every Superstar’s mind: the 2008 WWE Draft. For the second year in a row, the Draft will take place on a special three-hour Raw, where all Superstars, all Divas and all announcers from all three brands are eligible.

-- Randy Orton is said to very upset regarding a recent Internet report originally reported in Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter . It was reported two weeks ago that the severity of Orton's broken collarbone was worse than originally thought and that his return to the ring had been pushed back until October instead of August.
